| The massive ballroom was covered in white and pale blue, the decorations glittering to give the illusion of snow. At the far side of the room from the entrance was a huge table piles with food and drinks that would not run out throughout the night. Smaller round tables, all sheathed in white tablecloths ran down either side of the room while a large expanse of empty floor in the centre left room for dancing. There were carriages making their way between the event and various homes, and one particular service to transport the students who has remained at Hogwarts for the Christmas break.
Astoria took a deep breath, because even though she wanted to continue calling to those who were helping make the arrangements, she knew that it was finally too late. People were already arriving, and the room was slowly filling up. She had spent the past month distracting herself from her personal life, by throwing all of her attention into planning this event when she wasn't at work. Astoria had even taken the time to somewhat match her dress with the decorations. The head healer stood by the entrance, a glass of champagne in her hand as she greeted St Mungo's staff, benefactors, and guests. The ball room looked lovely, and she hoped that everyone attending would enjoy their night. | |

| Scorpius for the past few weeks had watched his mother plan this whole event, well slightly, he had seen her ran in and out of the manor and talk to people about it. Of course he himself hadn’t really done anything to help, he wished he had but it was his mothers thing and he didn’t want to interfere. He knew his mom had worked hard on this whole thing so wanting to make sure nothing went wrong for her, he put on a nice outfit and took out his pericings, he knew his parents didn’t really mind but he didn’t need people talking about his mother in a bad way cause of stuff he had in his face. He didn’t bother waiting for his father instead just got himself there and walked to the doors, he said hello to some people who seemingly recognized him, some people complimenting his outfit walking in he spotted his mother and instantly walked to her smiling. ”It looks wonderful mom, you did a fantastic job setting it up.” He praised her kissing her cheek in a welcome. ”Did you need me to get you anything? I know you most likely have to stay here since your in charge and stuff.” He offered watching her, smiling at anyone who waved in his direction. | |

| Mackenzie was the first to arrive at the ball, having spent all day getting ready. She wanted to make sure she looked perfect. She had an image of evil beauty to uphold being a Riddle. She stepped out of the carriage and accepted the hand of a gentleman to held her. She fixed her hair a bit and smiled at the man, her ruby red lips glistening in the moon light "Thank you." She said politely before walking inside. She smiled and approached the two Malfoys "Scorpius, nice to see you." She said placing a soft kiss to the boys cheek before turning to his mother "Mrs. Malfoy, you have simply out done yourself. Everything looks wonderful." - Dress:

| Scarlett lived for any opportunity to wear make up and dress up in a pretty gown. So she practically lived for Balls, galas, and charity events. She had went into Hogsmeade earlier that afternoon to pick up her dress and it was absolutely stunning. When she arrived she stepped out of the carriage and entered the beautiful ball room. She nodded in greeting to their hostess who was currently in a conversation, so she would not interrupt, on the way to the drink stand to get herself a cup of punch. - Dress:

| Ryder didn’t really do social gatherings but at some point he stopped caring. He had gotten himself there with ease and walked in smirking when he saw scorpius and smirked ever so slightly, walking to the other boy he leaned over and copied what his sister did, kissing Scorpius on the cheek causing the Slythrin to blush brightly and look down, almost backing behind his mother but still grinning, watching Ryder out of the corner of his eye. Ryder smiled at Astoria giving a slight bow. ”Ms Malloy, as always everything looks amazing, but then again i wouldn’t expect anything less from Scorps mom.” He smiled at her, he didn’t really do suits like his friend so his outfit was much more simple then Scorps. He looked at his sister nodding a bit before giving Scorpius a wink causing the other boy to roll his eyes but with a faint blush on Scorpius cheeks, Ryder grinned and turned walking off to go get a drink. Being his age did have its perks. | |

| Persephone arrived to the ball with Parker on her arm. When she saw the Riddle twins she kissed her brothers cheek and walked over to them "Ryder, do try and behave yourself tonight." She said before giving Mackenzie a kiss on the cheek. When he walked off Mackenzie shook her head "That brother of mine, he is a crazy one." She said which made the other young Slytherin laugh - Sephs dress:

| Blake had never been one for events where he had to wear a tux. The last one he wore was in his first year when he first told Hope he loved her. They had been so young, but he knew his feelings had been true. But he had to make an appearance on behalf of his family, seeing as he was the only member left. He entered the room and scanned the area for a familiar face or at least a friendly one. - Tux:

| Kira couldnt wait to go to the ball. She had been talking about it for months annoying the living hell out of her older sister, who didnt even really want to be there, but was forced by her mother. When they arrived Kira let out a squeal of excitement and ran inside, almost falling in her new feels that she had forced their dad to buy her. Tristan shook her head and followed the young girl inside to make sure she didnt hurt anyone or herself. - Tristans dress:

| Altaïr was excited to see the project that his mother had spent so much time working on over the past few weeks. It wasn’t like the three of them didn’t understand that the woman was going through a rough time, and none of them were sure how to act around her. But he also knew that this even meant the world to her, and much like his older brother, Altaïr was going to act his age for once in his life. So he wore a respectable suit and tie as he entered the ballroom, having shared a carriage with Lyra. He took in the wonderful work that had been done to prepare for the event, and he couldn’t help but think of how Cassiopeia would have loved it. “It’s perfect, mum,” he said quietly, kissing the brunette woman on the cheek before carrying on in to the hall, aware that the entry would end up full and that his brother had already offered to help their mother. | |

| Victoria entered the ball and greeted their hostess with a kiss on the cheek "It looks wonderful, Madame Malfoy." Her French accent very prominent as she entered deeper into the hall her high heels clicking on the marble floor. She admired the decorations of the ball and smiled softly. It did all look very wonderful. - Victoria:

| It was odd returning to the United Kingdom for an event. The last one she had attended had been quite dramatic, but this one was different. It wasn’t a school event, and majority of the people there were probably going to be adults. She was of course not going to miss it, as she had attended the St Mungo’s ball in the past as her summer volunteering at the hospital gave her an invite every year, but this was the first time the invitations had been extended to all age groups. She was sure it would be great, but she was still nervous of the people that she would come across as she adjusted her dress again and entered the ballroom. The place looked lovely, and she smiled at Astoria who had been her mentor one year, before slipping past the small crowd and finding herself a seat at one of the small tables. She had asked Artemis and Baldwin to join her, but as she had left earlier than they were able, she was not sure if they would be able to make it. The woman could only hope.

| Teddy made an appaerance at the ball without his sister by his side. Arabella had demanded she have more time to get ready so Teddy left the house on his own. He had no time for her and her obsession with appearnce that evening. As he walked around the ball room making small talk with people he smiled as his eyes landed on a certain red head "Well hello, Ms Flint." | |

| Mystique stepped out of the carriage with Alice in her arms. She put the small child down and smiled at the little girl. Alice loved getting dressed up for events, even if she only got to play in the childrens area, she still liked pretending to be a grown up like her mama. She lead the small girl inside and checked her into the child care section. She left after kissed her daughters forehead and made her way to the main room - Mystiques Dress:

| Chanel arrived at the ball with her 4 friends by her side. She was excited to be there but she would not show it too much. She stepped out of the carriage gracefully and entered with her girls behind her. She had arrived with Athena Arabella, Blake Morrison, Zoey Kingsley, and Mckenna Rivers. The girls all stood by the snack table chatting aimlessly about the latest gossip - Chanel:

| Caylin was excited to go to this ball, because she knew that she and her sister would be able to run off wherever they felt like afterwards, unlike the events at school. Not to mention, there would be some older guys there, and both Black girls would definitely be keen to chat so some of them. Not that Caylin ever had nearly as much interest from guys as her sister did, but she was okay with that. At least they would be having an awesome time. The Slytherin took her sisters hand as their personal carriage pulled up out the front of the ballrooms, and she dragged Celaena into the party, her dress long enough that she didn’t have to worry that it would show too much if she ran a little. | |

| Daniella entered the ballroom, not planning to speak to anyone too quickly. She froze, however, when she saw not only her brother Ryder, but also her sister who she knew had no idea that they were related. She chewed on her lip for a moment and brushed her hands down the front of her dress as a stalling motion, but she eventually started moving once more. While she’d have loved to stop and talk to Ryder, she didn’t want to start talking to him in front of Mackenzie, so she simply offered him a kind smile and continued in toward the food tables. | |

| Gaia had debated if she should go to this expensive event with her sisters for days, but eventually she had decided that it was okay if balls were a little different than they had been in their hay day. She could still get dressed up, though she was a little concerned about the modesty of the dress that Pandora had chosen for her to wear. When she moved in to the ball room, she approached who she could tell was she host and made a polite greeting, commenting on how beautifully decorated the hall was, before moving off to find something to drink. She was certain she would need it when she caught sight of what she thought might have been thirteen year old girls in dresses that ended before their underwear did. | |

| Hermione had desperately wished that she didn’t have to go to the charity ball, but of course she wouldn’t miss it. She simply didn’t enjoy the attention that she and her husband often got, along with Harry, when they went out together. Of course, she wasn’t sure if she would see Harry and Ginny there, but she was forcing Ron to go along. There was no way she was going alone, and she definitely wouldn’t get away with not going. Astoria would kill her. Her dress was simple, and lightly coloured, and Ron wore a matching tie as they walked in together and both kissed the hostess on her cheek before going to get some food as Hermione hadn’t had the chance to eat all afternoon. And Ron was Ron, after all. | |

| Jacob hadn’t been sure if attending the ball was a good idea, considering Helena was set to give birth any day now. The woman, of course, had other ideas. She wasn’t going to miss the last chance to speak with a room full of adults before they would be needing to take care of two babies. So, he dressed in what he was assured was a nice suit and called a carriage to meet them at the front of their house. “Helena! Are you ready, love?” he called into the bathroom, where the woman he adored had been locked up for the past two hours. | |

| Lyra smiled softly as she helped set out another tray of drinks. It had been her idea to help out on the night, but her mother had insisted that she was to go off and enjoy the party after the first hour. So for now the Ravenclaw was carrying around trays of drinks, offering them to people with empty hands. Once her tray was full once again, she approached someone who didn’t yet have a drink and said, “would you like to take a glass?” With the number of times people had gone to take a glass and spilled a little on her already, she was thankful that her mother had spelled her outfit to stay in its original, clean state. | |

| Naomi was always keen for a party, and she had started drinking a good few hours before she arrived at the ball. It wasn’t that she needed to drink to get through the night of socialising like others that she knew, it was simply that she was out for a good time. In fact, Naomi loved people and talking to them, though she seldom had real friends. At least not ones that she told anything about herself to. So she was showing up at the ball, a little tipsy and alone, but at least she was wearing a pretty dress, which made her feel a little less bad for herself as she beelined straight for the drinks table. | |

| Ruby smirked as she walked in a few meters behind Naomi, not making comment about her friend’s drinking antics aloud. The older Slytherin had helped her pick out her dress, so she figured she’d be nice for the evening. Instead she giggled at how the Ravenclaw boy greeted Scorpius, and she smiled at her friend’s mother. “It looks wonderful, Mrs Malfoy,” she said, before she linked her arm through Scorpius’, “I’m sure your mother is fine, though. Perhaps we should move along so that it’s easier for more people to fawn over her?” | |

| Astoria was grateful for her son, smiling happily at how handsome he looked. She returned the kiss on her cheek, and hugged him lightly before she quickly let him go when she saw his friends approaching. She responded with a smile to every greeting, but she focused on the group around her. “Thank you, Scorp, but I’m alright,” she said with a laugh, “Ruby’s right. Nobody can get past you lot. Go get a drink or something.” | |

| Stephan walked into the event with his parents and siblings, rolling his eyes at his younger sisters’ trying to out do each other with how grown up they were walking. “You both look like idiots,” he said, which caused his mother to smack him lightly on the shoulder and his sisters to give him identical glares. He rolled his eyes again, before they swept the room for the beautiful girl that he hoped more than anything would be here. “I’ll see you later,” he mumbled to his parents, which received him a ‘behave yourself’ from him mother as he went off in search of Octavia. | |

| Theodore’s parents saw the Saunders family and moved off to great Stephan’s parents, and so Theo took the chance to move away from the adults. He knew there was alcohol about, and he couldn’t wait to get into some. Not to mention, surely the Potter girl would be there, and if he could entertain himself with her company for a while he was sure to enjoy the evening much more than some of the other so-called parties that his parents took him to. So he swiped a glass from a passing waiter and found a spot that allowed him a good visual of the entrance. | |
