St Mungo's Charity Christmas Ball, 2016

Macey wasn't so excited about the ball but still she decided to show up there. She stepped out of carriage and walked towards the room where the ball was held. She walked over no snack table to see what is offer there. She probably should find someone to talk some point.

Dress:

Mackenzie smiled as the ball room began to fill up a bit and she excused herself from the conversation. She went over to her brother and locked arms with him "promise to save me a dance this time Ryder. I was very upset you didn't save me one last time" she looked around at the new people to arrive and smirked at some of the gentlemen "why don't we go to these events more often. The guests are always so... Delectable"

Jace wasn't one for these formal affairs, however, it was an event made by Lyra's mother. The thought of Lyra instantly made him smile, for whatever reason, and he tightened his tie at the doors whilst inspecting the room. He couldn't see her straight away but as someone took a glass of champagne, it unblocked her face and he shook her head at the fact this girl was serving, risking the beautiful dress she had worn that reminded him of a clearing in his forest. Walking up to her, hands behind his back, he leaned down to whisper into her ear from behind with a smirk on his lips. "Honestly, Lyra, do you ever take the night off? I thought we were going to dance." His voice was mocking but deep down, he had truly hoped to dance. He told himself it was to distract himself from the human scents but something didn't feel right about that statement.

Kira smelled Jace before she actually saw him. She squealed softly with excitement and rushed over to him "Jace! Come dance with me!" She had not noticed the girl he was speaking till until then. She blushed a bit and curtsied in respect "I apologize for my interruption. I did not see you there." She then stood back up and looked at her cousin "Please, Jace. I dont like any of the other boys and I wanna dance. Dont worry, I plan to drag Jacob out onto the floor at some point too. But you're first!"

Benji had to attend as a department head at the Ministry and he took a quick swig from his hip flask before entering with his nephew, Jace who quickly disappeared to find a young girl. He raised his eyebrow at this and he simply shrugged, knowing he'd have to make sure Helena didn't notice or one; she'd go into labour or two; she would follow them around all night to make sure nothing happened, or even make sure something did happen. Helena had a strange mind that even her own brother couldn't understand. He unbuttoned his suit jacket, revealing a waist coat underneath with even a pocket watch chain dangling and he inspected it, wondering just how long it was acceptable to attend before he could make an escape.

Benji's suit

Helena had spent hours getting ready, having insecurities about how she looked due to the fact she was so, so very close to bursting and whilst she loved her baby bump, she became so unsure in her dresses. Finally finding a stretchy slim red dress with grecian off shoulder straps, she even had to ask Jace how she looked. When he doted on her, claiming that she looked beautiful, she began to cry and had to redo her entire make up whilst he went off first with Benji. Hearing Jacob outside the door, she sighed and smoothed down the dress, allowing the door to open to let her husband see her. "I'm ready," She cooed, resting a hand against her heart at how handsome her husband was.

Artemis lived and breathed formal events, elegance radiating off of her the moment she entered the Christmas Ball. The De Clermonts on an annual basis gave St Mungos are large sum of money for whatever they required but not many people working at St Mungos knew this. With her hand resting on Baldwin's forearm, they stood by the door to inspect the on goings quite slowly before they found their beloved Amber who Artemis knew Baldwin was vibrating to see. She had informed of their possible relationship by Baldwin only a couple of weeks ago and she was quite excited to witness the progress of it. She was content and gestured for Baldwin to lead them, picking up her dress to avoid a small spillage on the floor, not wanting to ruin her favourite dress.

Artemis' dress

Idie normally did not attend balls and such due to her past affiliation and most people wanting to attack her. But tonight she wanted to have some fun. She did a few glamour charms to make her hair longer and black instead of her short blonde pixie cut and did a few spells to hide her more prominent tattoos. She arrived at the ball and her eyes immediately landed on her God daughter. She smiled at Mackenzie who smiled back before going to make small talk with a few of the adults

Baldwin hated leaving France, more than he would care to admit, especially leaving Artemis' love, Jack with the maids. It wasn't that he would cheat, it was more because they couldn't handle his blood rage. He sighed softly at the thought, earning a squeeze on the arm from Artemis who had the unique ability to always know what was going on inside his head. "It'll be okay," Artemis had whispered to him and he found himself truly wanting to believe that and he did. He believed it the moment he realised Angels were real in this world and the angel that had bewitched him into believing Jack would be okay, was Amber Flint. He found himself with his jaw dropped, his still beating heart almost stirring to life in his chest but what stopped all this, was the sight of another man hovering over his beloved. With Artemis tugging at his arm to take them over there, he did so without hesitation. "M'lady," He said, referring to a certain surprise Artemis had yet to bestow upon Amber which caused Artemis to pinch him and he picked up Amber's hand, kissing her knuckles sweetly and looked over to the man beside her. "Hello good sir! Please allow me to introduce ourselves. I am Baldwin De Clermont, Prince of France and this is my sister, Artemis." Baldwin said, bowing his head but his eyes were truly locked onto Amber and her figure.

Larunda wasn't quite sure whether she should attend or not but the moment one of her Hybrid members brought her a dress that seemed to match Larunda exactly with her smudgy black birthmark on her face (same as profile picture) and the rest of her was ivory white, it was decided for her. She had yet to find someone to love, aside from the man all those years ago from when she became the Original Hybrid and from what her friends said, Parties were the best place to find people. Sauntering into the room, her hair tied up in a messy up do to reveal her birthmark, she noted the younger people staring at her in wonder of how a birthmark could shift slightly and with shaky fingers, she touched her temple and wondered if she really should have went.

Arabella growled at her brother who kept trying to rush her and ordered him to go ahead without her, allowing her to finish the last little pieces in peace. She had no idea why he wanted to go so early when fashion clearly states, being late is significantly better. She picked another flower off the bouquet and with a spell, the thread and needle in her other hand copied the flower and it sewed itself onto the dress as the last piece. "Wonderful!" She complimented herself and touched up her make up before apparating to the Ball, making sure it hadn't messed up her outfit at the entrance. Noting her brother was standing with three other people, one being old friends of hers, she quickly made her way over. "Teddy," She called him, linking arms with him and looked over at her old friends. "Artemis, Amber! It's been so long and you both look absolutely beautiful. France is certainly taking to you, Amber." She said, smiling brightly.

Arabella's Dress

Octavia wasn't usually one for parties but ever since she got into her later years at Hogwarts, she found herself more susceptible to the invite of alcohol consumption.  However, an elegant ball like this called for extravagance and whilst she had made most of the dresses in this place, she decided to make herself the best dress of all clad in golden silk. Walking around the edges of the party, the scents of people around her with their strong aftershave and perfume was stopping her from being able to find Stephan, her mate. Jason had yet to arrive, allowing Octavia to take her time with Stephan before he undoubtedly stole his wing man. Latching eyes onto Stephan, who was looking for her, she sneaked up behind him and she wrapped her arms around his waist, kissing his cheek as she became thankful for the height her heels gave her. "My love," She whispered into his ear and danced around him to look at him properly. "You're so handsome," She breathed out, blushing as she said so.

Celaena's dress

Celaena rolled her eyes at Caylin's tugging, allowing her sister and partner in crime take her anywhere she wanted just as long as she had her other hand to stop her dress from being stood on. Whilst she rarely wore dresses, she always wore dresses that she knew would make her father cry at how grown his two princesses were. The thought of her father saddened her for a moment but her search was getting better and she knew she could bring him back, they both did. "Caylin, slow down," She said with a laugh, both of them seeking for a man but their intentions were different for once. Caylin was sure to be looking for someone to please her whilst Celaena, also wanting this, was looking for a victim to go into the Veil and hopefully drag them out again to see their state. This way she hoped to go in and pull her father out herself.

Celaena's Dress

Jace, having simply locked onto Lyra, did not notice the arrival of Kira and almost found himself annoyed at this before scolding himself. Looking down at her, he smiled brightly amused by her excitement and scrunched his nose at the mention of dance. Sure he had stated he was going to dance with Lyra, but that was so her mother would think Lyra was relaxing and because the young Ravenclaw just so happened to hold Jace's heart in a vice grip. "This is Lyra Malfoy, her mother is the one hosting this event." He said, a silent comment for her to thank her for the invitation. "Not right now but I'm sure Benji would love to dance?" He said, gesturing to the large man who looked lost within the crowd, rubbing his beard as he spoke.

Kira smiled when Jace mentioned Lyra was a Malfoy "Thank you for inviting us. Its wonderful." She said gesturing to the ball room and all its glory. When Jace said no to a dance she frowned and the sadness was evident on her face. But she cheered up a bit when she mentioned Benji "Uncle Benji is here!?" She said running off towards the older man and clung to him in a hug "Uncle Benji, dance with me!?" 

Teddy smiled when two more people approached and he ndoded at Artemis "Hello Artemis, lovely to see you as always. And nice to meet you Baldwin. I am Teddy Lupin." He smiled even wider when Arabella finally arrived. He kissed her cheek and poked her nose playfully "Perfection as always, dear sister." He had changed his hair to a dirty blonde color and his eyes were bright green while his skin was a bit tanner than its normal color

Harlow, linked arms with one of her dearest friends, Edros, entered the Ballroom with a small smile on her lips. She wasn't planning on going but Edros had persuaded her, telling her off for working so much and never relaxing and told her that Hope needed a relaxed mother. The moment Hope was mentioned, the argument had been lost and Harlow was rushing into a bathroom to get changed. Picking up a glass of wine from one of the trays that had entered her view, she peaked over the rim of her glass to inspect the going ons and she kissed Edros' cheek in thanks for escorting her inside before leaving his side to walk around the ballroom.

Harlow's Dress

Darren decided to attend the ball as sort of a last minute thing. He put on one of his old tuxes from attending a bunch of events as Harlows husband before taking the carriage to the event. He picked up a glass of champagne immediately upon entrance and looked around for one person in particular. When he found her he couldnt help but smile. He approached her and spoke in a low voice "You look stunning, as always."

Emma was late for the ball as she had been scared to even come. She decided to summon some courage and attend. When she arrived she smoothed out her dress a tiny bit as she walked over to the snack table. She picked up a cup of pumpkin juice and sipped it as she shifted from foot to foot nervously 

Emma:

Lycan entered the ball with Danny and Marcovian beside him. He decided to attend the ball with his friends versus trying to find a date for it. it created less drama for him to deal with if he wanted to dance with multiple girls through out the night.

Hope had debated coming for a while but once she saw the dress she was wearing...well she had to come. So having gotten ready with the help of Emile she got out of her ride and walked in smiling at Astoria before walking in. Her hair and outfit making her shine under the lights. Grinning when she spotted her parents she walked over to her mom smiling widely. ”Mama! What do you think? I picked it out myself and Emile helped do my hair” she smiled at her as she brushed down her dress a bit looking around. ”Have you seen Peter?” She asked softly blushing a bit as she looked around biting her lip.

Blake looked up when he heard Hopes voice and was instantly mesmerized by her beauty. He hesitated at first before approaching the two Avery women "Good evening Ms. Avery." He said to Hopes mother, he used to be able to just call her Harlow but he was not sure if the same rules applied. He then turned to Hope and adoration shined in his eyes "You look beautiful, Hope."

Ryder hadn't even paid attention to his sisters words, for the second he saw Daniella he smiled and moved away from Mackenzie going to his other sister. He made it behind her and set a hand on her waist gently making it seem like he was flirting with her, that way no one questioned why he was over here. "Not even a hello? I'm offended Dani" He teased her smiling at her kindly. "You look amazing by the way, your dress is beautiful" He watched her slightly. He looked around spotting Amber and smiled slightly, "Come here, just for a minute okay then you can go back to doing what you were doing, I want to introduce you to someone okay?" He took his sister's hand and led her over to Amber.

Letting go of her hand he walked to Amber kissing her cheek in greeting. "Hello Mary Jane, don't you look stunning tonight. I want you to meet someone, this is Daniella" He moved out of the way of his sister smiling slightly. He gestured for Dani to come a bit closer. Leaning towards Amber he smiled "Remember I told you about her? My other sister?" He whispered kinda grinning sort of proudly, it was clear to anyone in a five mile radius how happy he was to be around the two girls. "Dani this is Amber...shes my...friend" He paused before smiling again and just watching the two girls. Having completely forgotten anything from before, like having to remeber Mackenzie and giving her a dance. His mind more focused on the two girls before him.

Scorp saw his two friends and chuckled softly raising his arms in defeat. "Fine fine I'm coming" He smiled turning to his mom and kissing her cheek softly. "Just come find me if you need anything okay? I won't go to far, don't overwork yourself mom" He whispered softly before walking off to go join his friends smiling, though not paying much attention he had ended up bumping into the Nott boy and paused cursing silently. "Fuck, sorry, I didn't hurt you did I?" He asked looking at the boy and yes okay maybe Scorpius eyes wandered a bit much and maybe he let them linger but damn, he had a pair of eyes for a reason, man, like come on.

Mackenzie frowned when Ryder walked off. Why was he always neglecting her as of late? Why ws he always with that Daniella girl? The sadness evident on her face when he left "Yeah whatever. Nice talking to you too." SHe said before slinking into the shadows. She would not show her sadness. Not here. She would not cry. She walked over to Ryder and mumbled under her breath "Ryder, Im going home." She said before walking off, shoulders slumped and tears threatening to fall at any second

Amber was hardly paying any mind to her surroundings when she was approached by a boy that she would recognise anywhere. “Hi Teddy,” she said with a smile, looking him over, “you look wonderful tonight.” Her words were true, and she was surprised that she wasn’t concerned about saying them. They were at a good place with one another now, and they could finally be friends.

The red head was about to continue her conversation with Teddy when familiar scents washed over her. The smile on her face brightened, and she turned just as the pair of French royals approached. There was a shine to her eyes as Baldwin took her hand, and she allowed him the pleasantries before she threw her arms around Artemis and then Baldwin in turn, before taking a step back. “I’m so thrilled that you could make it,” she said, her fingers twitching in excitement, aware of how even more extraordinary her night would be now that the two people she loved most in the world were present.

Then, another girl joined their group, and she was quickly kissed Arabella’s cheek. “You’re stunning, love,” she said to the other girl, “it’s been wonderful. You should visit with us some time.”

Daniella was happy enough to wander on her own. She had been spending a lot of time with Ryder, but Mackenzie didn’t even know she existed. Or at least who she was. She understood wanting to take the time to make sure it all went smoothly, and that was why she didn’t bother Ryder when she entered. But apparently, he hadn’t gotten her hint, and she laughed and sighed at the same time. “Hi, Ryder. I just didn’t want to cause a scene,” she said quietly, glancing over at the small group he had just left behind. When he complimented her she smiled brightly and said, “oh, thank you. I was worried it wouldn’t be as nice as everyone else’s clothes.” The Ravenclaw followed her secret brother, curious and a little confused.

The girl that Ryder introduces her to was surrounded by another group of friends, but Ryder was subtle enough when explaining who she was. “Hi Amber,” she said, “it’s lovely to meet you.” She wasn’t sure if Ryder was hinting at something when he said that Amber was his friend, but she didn’t really care. The two of them seemed to know each other quite well, in any case. She was bout to speak with the others around the red haired girl, when Mackenzie Riddle walked over to them and told Ryder than she was leaving. She wanted to go after her, and took half a step to do so, when she was stopped by Ryder’s hand and she figured that it was better to wait to talk to her sister when she wasn’t so upset.. about what, Daniella couldn’t be certain.
